Signs of pregnancy. Even though the obvious way of finding out that you are pregnant is that you will miss your period, there are some signs of pregnancy that will stay will you till you deliver while others will go away after the first or second trimester. Listed below are some.

1. What has become known as morning sickness is a sure sing you might be pregnant. This is when you may be feeling sick, and often times followed by vomiting. This can happen in any time of the day but mostly during the morning hours, which is why it is called morning sickness. This might start around the fourth to the sixth week.

2.  Feeling tired or fatigue. It is okay for you to have a feeling of tiredness when you are pregnant. This is mostly during the first trimester. This feeling is as a result of some changes in your hormones. This sometimes comes with a feeling of emotional upset and should not worry you.

3. Having larger tender breasts. One obvious thing that happens is that since your body is preparing to nurse your baby, your breasts may begin to feel larger and more tender. You nipples could take on a darker color and become more tense as the veins are now more visible.

4. Strange appetite for foods and smells. One thing too that is a sure sign of pregnancy is that you would begin to crave for foods that you otherwise wouldn’t want to eat. During pregnancy, it is common to have the following

  • A metallic unusual taste in your mouth.
  • A serious craving for new types of foods altogether.
  • A lost of appetite for your usual foods.
  • If you used to smoke, you will sure loose interest, this is even good for your baby.
  • Your sense of smell increases sharply and powerfully. You can smell things even from afar.

5. Frequent urination is common among some women. This is because your body not pumps more blood, and your kidneys are processing more liquid than before. This might cause your bladder to get full earlier than usual.

As a result, you may be urinating more frequently.

6. Hearburns during pregnancies is also very common among a lot of women, this is because during pregnancy, the hormonal changes might make stomach acid to leak. When this happens, you will feel heartburn.

To help you, try the following:

  • Take smaller meals a number of times rather than a big one.
  • After eating, sit up straight for about 1 hour

These are the major signs of pregnancies, even though this is the exhaustive list, these are the main ones.

Some women do experience swollen feet as a result of the kidneys processing more waste of yours and that of your baby. Others too do develop some forms of rashes during pregnancies.
