Church of Scotland Hospital Nursing School Application 2022/2023. Becoming a professional nurse who is qualified to take provide quality heath care for patients, requires that, you need to go through a mandatory number of years of vigorous and quality training. This makes you eligible to take care of the sick, to offer public health education to the public, and be a preventive health advocate as well. After your training, you are expected to provide services that will meet the need of people not just in the physical sense but mentally and psychologically as well. You are expected to know what to do to ensure that your patients’ social well being is also as organized as possible.

The Church of Scotland is a district hospital that has grown from its humble beginnings to become a 347 bed capacity hospital, located in uMsinga sub-district, between Greytown and Dundee and falls under the supervision of the uMzinyathi Health district. A typical mountainous area with an interesting dry climate.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify to study at the Church of Scotland Hospital Nursing School, would be students must have the following requirements:

Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate)
Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable)
An Admission Point (AP) 30
Language of instruction 50%
40% in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy 70%
60% in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences 50%

NB. Either Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is required, as well as either Life Sciences or Physical Sciences.

A medical certificate
A South African Identification card
Passport number for international students
A working cell number
A unique email address

How To Apply To The Church of Scotland Hospital Nursing School

All those applying who are now in Grade 12 are expected to bring copies of their Grade 11 final results, each copy should bare the stamp of the school.
And then you are expected to fill in the application online.

The moment you are done with your application online, it will be assessed and then you shall get a Student Number also called the Reference Number.

All those who are sitting for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) through IEB or SACAI examining bodies can apply online by choosing “National Senior Certificate” under the Results Detail page of the online application process.

If you have completed GED and would like to study towards an undergraduate curricular qualification, it is suggested that you register and then go through a grade 12 NSC/IEB/SACAI or international equivalent.

If you did not finish the SC/NSC/IEB, you should possess USAF accreditation from the examination board for South African Universities.
