Benefits of cloves. Even though the close tree is not a very common one in many parts of the world, cloves are gradually gaining grounds and may soon become like ginger. Emanating from the tree that is almost always green, technically called syzygium aromaticum, it is either used in its whole form or in its powdered form.

According to research, cloves also contain what is known as eugenol, this is one of the very powerful antioxidants that impedes the work of free radicals in a wonderful way, thus protecting your body.

According to studies done on cloves, it has been found out that, cloves are most likely one of those spices that will help your body to prevent cancer. This has been so proven in some more research work that showed that cloves can actually act to stop the growth of tumors and then also kills cancerous cells. Furthermore, in what is known as cancer of the esophagus, the oil in cloves were very effective in dealing with it.
